Baptism

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word."

Parents should:

* Choose at least one Confirmed, practicing Catholic over the age of 16 to be a Godparent.

* Attend the Baptism Preparation Program, for first time parents, held the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm in the Bride's Room.

To register for the class, please call Lori Flanagan at 920-865-7844.

* Be at the church for Baptism at least 15 minutes before the Mass.

Baptism is normally celebrated during Mass on the weekends, except during the season of Lent.
